Chateshwar Pujara, the batter of the Indian cricket team, ignored, expressed his disappointment over not characterizing the national side in recent times. Pujara, who was seen as a strong contender for the number 3 location in the batting order, has not played for India since June 2023. Although he was believed to return to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 against Australia, the selectors did not go with it. Pujara said that he is still inspired by the love of the game and is ready to play whenever needed.

“When someone has been successful at the highest level and has played more than 100 Test matches and is still not part of the team, you pursue hard work that has been the reason behind success. Not getting the opportunity is a great disappointment, but I prepare and inspire myself because of my love for this game.

India’s next assignment will be a test series against England in June and the series for Rohit Sharma and CO is extremely important after disappointing results against New Zealand and Australia. Pujara said that he would like to give his best for the side in the upcoming series.

“Team India has been very competitive, but now a series has not won in England for almost 20 years, so I have to give the best from my end and grab this opportunity that if the team needs me, this will be the right opportunity when England needs to win.”
