Report: CB Jaire can stick with Alexander Packers

Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jair Alexander on Sunday, November 11, 2018 during his football game against Miami Dolphin, Green Bay, Vis. During its football game in the lambo field in WM. Glasheen/USA Today Network-Cisconsin.

After months of appearing that Green Bay Packers traded or released the cornerback jeer Alexander, ESPN said on Tuesday that while those options still remain, the team can also keep an all-Prof of two-time all-time.

Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst said after the draft of the last weekend, in which the team selected Tulane Cornerback Micah Robinson in the seventh round, that Alexander’s condition is a liquid.

Gutekunst said, “We will work through it.” But there is no update, and it is on our roster right now and so we will move forward. But we will find out that we walk together. “

Gutekunst was non-casual on whether Alexander would be in the uniform of packers in this decline.

“No, I just changed nothing,” said gutekunast. “No updates. We will move forward because we go now, and we will see how it goes.”

Alexander has two years left on the four -year expansion signed in 2022. His base pay for 2025 is $ 16.15 million, and in 2026 it is $ 18.15 million.

If the green bay cuts or trades Alexander with a June 1 designation, it will cost more than $ 7.5 million in dead money, but in cap savings with about $ 17.1 million, according to the cap. A former June 1 cut or business would mean more than $ 17 million in dead money and about $ 7.6 million in savings.

Alexander was a second-team all-pro and made a Pro Bowl in both 2020 and 2022, but injuries have forced him to remember most of the last four sessions. He appeared in 2021 in only four games and in both 2023 and seven in ’24.

The 18th overall pick by Packers in 2018, Alexander has 12 career interaction with five out of five in 2022. He also has three pics in seven playoffs.
