San Diego FC acquired Quake de Oscar Verhowen on loan

San Diego FC acquired the defender Oscar Verhoven on a loan from the San Jose earthquake.

The announcement of this deal runs through the rest of the season on Monday, with $ 100,000 in the general allocation money. The agreement includes a purchase option and a sales-on percentage in exchange for 2026 GAM.

18-year-old Verhowen, 2024–25 appeared in seven MLS matches (five beginnings) for San Jose, including an appearance as an alternative to this season.

San Diego Sports Director Tyler Heips said, “We are pleased to welcome the Oscar in San Diego, as we continue to compete in our group.” “He is a highly potential fullback and strong contestant that we believe will benefit from being in our environment because he continues to develop.”

Verhowen, a native of California, represented the United States in the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
