Phillies Star First Baseman Bryce Harper and Atlanta Braves Outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. Philadelphia was not in the initial lineup for game 1 of a doublehead on Thursday.
Harper was drilled in his right elbow in the first innings of a 2–0 win on Braves on Tuesday. The team announced that the two-time National League MVP maintained a fusion and X-rays were negative.
Wednesday’s game was postponed due to bad weather, resulting in a split doublehead on Thursday.
It was not immediately known whether Harper would be available later in the first game or second game.
Alec Bohm moved to the first base to start the first game, with Edmondo Sosa began on a third basis.
32 -year -old Harper, hitting 54 matches this season with eight homeers and 33 RBI.
The 27 -year -old Ekuna got rest after playing in four direct competitions after returning from ACL’s injury, which sidelined her for almost a year.
Stuart Fairchild started in the correct field in place of Ekuna, which is 5 -for -16 with two homes and three RBI in four matches.
