Jeff McNell, Francisco Alwarz set to resume Metes

MLB.com reported that the introduction of Catch Francisco Alverages and Infielder Jeff McNell is expected to be active from the injured list and join New York Mets for their weekend road trip starting on Friday.
The pair is set to play in their final rehabilitation game for Triple-e-Syrocks on Wednesday.
33 -year -old McNell suffered a slant injury during spring training, while 23 -year -old Alvarez underwent surgery to repair his left Hemet Bone, an injury that occurred even during spring training.
McNell Mats is the other regular basman, although he has taken a representative in the outfield during his rehabilitation. Brett Batty and Luisangel are filling in one second place.
The two-time all-star and 2022 National League batting champion, McNeel, struggled last season, killing 12 domestic runs and 44 RBI. 238.
