Washington’s citizens will watch their season-first five-game winning streak on opening a three-game series against San Francisco veterans on Friday.
National took a ninth innings lead on Thursday, but got a single winning single from Amaid Rosario in 10th to win 8-7.

Washington Center fielder Robert Hassel III won its first Major League game on Thursday, starting 10th in second place as a runner. The 23 -year -old batted in his first major league and scored 2 -for -5 and two runs with a theft.
“It felt very good,” Hassel said, who became the first player in the club’s Washington era to produce two hits and a theft basis at the beginning of his big league. “The most important thing really is that we have found W. It looks amazing to win.”

In four careers, Gore starts 3–1 with 6.05 ERAs.
RoupP is coming out of its best outing of the season. Against athletics on Saturday, he threw six shutouts innings, allowing five hits. He killed five and two left.

Roupp has never started against Washington. He showed two reliefs in The Nationals vs Vs. 2/3 innings in April 2024.
