Glenn Maxwell does not understand the passion of PBKS, there are lots of options available
Glenn Maxwell has been a total failure not only in IPL 2025, but also in 2024, and PBK should look to replace it immediately.
You leave Azmatullah Omarjai from the team, and then you take Glenn Maxwell on it. What does the latter do? OPL 2025 score 48 runs in 7 matches in 8 matches on average. Every time a hard-touching occurs at the Australian crease, it is almost given, that he will fall prey to a spinner. At least in the last 10 innings, this has been the same. And yet, somehow, PBKS does not want to choose a player beyond Maxwell.
IPL 2025, Glenn Maxwell’s largest flop?
Virender Sehwag spoke on Cricbuzz, “He comes to India to spend his holiday (Maxwell and Liam Livingstone).” And this can just be true. He is not in any form. PBK has lots of options

Although he has played 7 matches, and has been ineffective, but Maxwell is not as bad. Australians have 67 runs in 7 matches, on an average 16, and an excellent season with LSG last year, where they scored one ton and two half -centuries.
If Shreyas Iyer, captain does not want to use that option, then an Indian player is waiting in wings – Suryash Shed. He is a powerful child, and can send the ball to the stand with his cruel force. Although in 4 matches, he has only 4 runs, but then instills confidence about him-he scored 131 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, on the strike of 251, and an average 43.
But then, PBK should be ready to look beyond Glenn Maxwell.
