In 3-5 colonials, late golf was called “terrible horseshoe” by late golf writer Dan Jenkins. … With the famous Tartan jacket of the event, this week’s winner will take the 1992 Schwab defender home as the “Award Car” award of the sponsor. … The region includes 20 of the top 50 players in the official world golf rankings and nine players in the top 10 last week. … After this incident, the top 5 players in Aon Swing 5 who are not otherwise not qualified will earn a place in the memorial next week. The top 5 currently stars Ryan Fox, Harry Higgs, McKenzie Hughes and Kevin U, with Niclas Norgard and Alex Smalli tied to the fifth. Only Fox and Norgard are not in the area of this week. … Blades Brown, who turned 18 on Wednesday, is in the fray with Neil Shipli as option selection of two champions. … East Northern Carolina Star David Ford will make his professional debut. The exemption of other sponsors includes PGA professional Michael Block and former lead champion web Simpson. … 2025 Ben Hogan Award winner Luke Clanton (Florida state) has accepted the first invitation in next year’s territory. … Zach Johnson set a 259 tournament scoring record in 2010.
Best bet: Scotty Chefler (+240 in Draftkings) has won its previous two starts. The giant pre-tournament has not won in the preferred colonial, but has abolished two in the last three years. … Jordan Spith (+2200) missed out last week, but won the colonial in 2016. … Daniel Berger (+2200) has continued to controversy continuously this year, including a T3 inherited RBC. … The seventh ranked Hideki Matsuayama (+2500) is the only other top -10 players in the ground, but have missed three of their last five cuts. … Tommy Fleetwood (+2500) is still demanding its first stroke-play win in the United States. They had a top -10 pair before last week’s T41. … Aaron Rai (+3000) is quietly stacking strong results including T19 last week. … Harris English (+3500) quietly finished T2 last week with 65 for its best head Finnish, and is number 10 in Fedex Cup standing. … C Wu Kim (+4000) could not keep pace with the chefler on Sunday, but posted a T8 last week and now stays outside the Dallas. … Davis relay (+5000) is trying to include Ben Hogan as the only back-to-back champion of the event. He would have claimed solo seconds last week if not for triple-bogies on the seventh hole on Sunday. … Ben Griffin (+6000) posted a T8 in a quail hollow on the jurich classic winning heels with Andrew Novak.
