Delhi Capital wicketkeeper-son KL Rahul became the fastest Indian to reach a 200-six milestone in the IPL, achieved the 128th innings against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. The right-handed batsman attacked Mohammad Siraj in the third over, and after killing him for four on the previous delivery, made a place for himself and slammed it on a long-on. In doing so, he left behind Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, who played 159 innings to reach the milestone. Other Indians of the list include MS Dhoni (165 innings), Virat Kohli (180 innings), Rohit Sharma (185 innings) and Suresh Raina (193 innings).
Rahul is also the third fastest to reach a milestone behind West Indies Big Hitters Chris Gayle and Andre Russell to play 69 and 97 innings respectively to reach the milestone.
Rahul batted at a strike rate of 200, and he went to raise a quick-fire 28 as he accelerated the innings of Delhi Capital in Powerplay, which was before a yorker from a Yorker before losing his wicket in the fifth over that found him in front of the stumps.
Rahul has been a person for Delhi this season and is definitely on the occasion. This season has the highest number of his 12 -season tenure in the 158.33 strike rate league. The 33 -year -old has scored 266 runs in six innings and is anchor for the side.
His best outing came against the Royal Challengers Bangalore when his unbeaten 93 M. The Chinnaswamy stadium presented his side to win the six wickets. He was also decisive in a 25 -run win over Chennai Super Kings, where he scored 77 runs. He was elected with Tristian Stabs, who led to his clutch batting and exposing Delhi’s trust to win the famous Super over Rajasthan Royals.
