Mumbai Indians can give a major blow as their two star players are ready to remember the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 playoffs. MI’s batting all-rounder Will Jack and wicketkeeper-botter Ryan Reclleton are the players who are allegedly ready to engage in international duty and recall the playoffs, a report in Espener. In the case, the MI manages to make it in the next stage, the side would be without two star players. Johnny Bairstow and Richard Gleison would replace them for franchise, claiming the report. According to the revised schedule, the IPL 2025 playoff begins with the final match to be played on 3 June 27.
Jack has been set to recall the final stage of IPL 2025 due to England’s white-ball series against the West Indies, which starts from May 29. Meanwhile, Ricelton and Corbin Bosch are also set to remember the playoffs as Cricket South Africa has requested members of the final squad of their World Testing Championship on 27 May.
Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, have been ranked fourth on the table of points with 14 points after winning seven of their 12 matches.
The tournament was suspended last Thursday by the BCCI due to cross -border tension between India and Pakistan.
The 18th edition of the league will resume on 17 May, with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) M. Defending champions at Chinnaswamy Stadium will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Mumbai Indians will play their next match against the Delhi Capital led by Exer Patel at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 21 May.
After the enmity ended on Saturday, the BCCI discussed with the Government of India and other stakeholders. On Monday, the Cricket Board released the updated schedule for the remaining 17 matches.
Six cities, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bangalore will host 13 league matches. However, places for playoff games have not yet been finalized.
According to the new schedule, the qualifier will be held on 1 29 May, Eliminator on 30 May, and qualifier 2 on 1 June. The IPL 2025 final will be held on 3 June.
