Jalan Brunson of Nax hit late tray, sealed series vs. Piston

Jalen Brunson scored 40 points, including 4.3 seconds to tiebracing 3-pointer, as New York Nix visited the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference with a 116–113 win over Detroit Piston in Game 6 on Thursday.

Mikal Bridge contributed 25 points and OG Anunobi added 22 points as the third seeded Maz won the first-4-2 first-round series on the sixth seeded piston and moved to the semi-finals of the conference for the third consecutive year. New York will face Celtics, starting with Game 1 in Boston on Monday.

Cad Cunningham had 23 points and Jalan Duran had 21 piston for Piston, who have lost the NBA-Cord 10 Strait Home Playoff Games since 2008. The visiting team won five out of six matches in the series. After Duran made one of the two free throw, the bridges tied 113 to tie the game with 35.6 seconds in a rebound. Cunningham missed an upcoming shot and Bronson got the ball, ran in court and hit the game-winner over the 3-point arch.

Brunson scored 15 points on 7 to 9 shooting in the first quarter, as Nix took a 37-23 lead. Piston made only 20 shots from the floor and made three turnover during this period.

After following 15 points in the second quarter, Piston shut down six directly New York Shots and used a 9–0 run to tie the game on 49. Cunningham gave Detroit his first lead 58-57 with his floater with 61 seconds. Beyasali returned with 15 points in the quarter, all were coming on 3-point shots, and with the end of the time, his tray gave Detroit 61-59 Halftime Cushions.
