ATP Roundup: Carlos Alkaraz, Holgar Run collides in Barcelona final

Top seed Carlos Alkaraz took a step to win his home-lion tournament for the third time, topped France’s Arthur Films 6–2, 6-4 to go to the final of Barcelona Open Bench Subdale in Spain.

Alkaraj fought both the seventh seeded Fills and a constant wind to run the line of victory in nine matches. He won the title in Barcelona in both 2022 and 2023. France’s phils were interrupted by 38 unexpected errors, compared to 13 for Alakraj in a 75 -minute match.

In the final, Alakraj will meet Karen Khachanov of Russia 6-3, 6-2 winners from the sixth seed Holgar Rune of Denmark. Run converted four out of six brake opportunities against Khachanov, which was bitten into unexpected errors (17) in the ratio (five) ratio (five) of the winners (five) in 67 minutes.

This will be the first Clay-court final for Run for Rune since Rome, which will return to the top 10 when the new ranking is released on Monday.

BMW Open

Ben Shelton became the first American man since Andre Agassi in 2002 to reach the finals of the Clay-Cort ATP 500 or 1000 tournament-or the French Open-like 2-6, 7-6 (7), 6–4 in Munich came back to Francisco Crandolo, the top of Argentine’s top Francisco Celandolo.

In the final, he would face Germany’s top seed Alexander Zerev, who had dropped the Hungary 7-6 (3), 6-3 Fabian Marozson. Zverev is demanding its third win in its home-nation tournament after winning in Munich in both 2017 and 2018.
