Vladimir Gurero Junior Belt 3-Run HR defeated Red Sox

Vladimir Gurero Junior hit a three-run domestic run at the bottom of the eighth innings and Toronto Blue Jais defeated Boston Red Sox 4–2 on Thursday night.

In a rubber match of the three-game series, Gurero’s Homer Justin Slaton (0–2) came, who also suffered losses in the 10th innings on Wednesday.

Daulton Varsho hit a single homer for Toronto.

Jose Berios of Toronto picked around the leadoff singles in the first and second innings, with the runners left stranded on the second basis each time. The first innings ended when Varsho caught Wilir Abreu’s flyball on the center-area wall.

Boston’s Tanner Hawk worked around solo in the second, third and fourth.

Red Sox had its third leadoff on the line drive of Rob Refsiner for the Center in the fifth innings. Refsnyder finished third when David Hamilton did a single to right. Hamilton then stole another. The Rafael Davors had gone to a 3–2 change, which was down and outside. Alex Bramanman planted a Hanging Slider 0–1 in the left-field corner for a two-run double. Bramanman extended his hit Streak to 11 matches.

Before Mason Fluharyti (2–0), Berrios retired the first two batsmen of the seventh.

Berios allowed two runs, seven hits and a walk while scoring eight runs in 6 2/3 innings.

Hawk left his second homer 1–1 on a ciner in nine nights. He hit a deep dishonesty on the right pitch. Hawk hit a batsman before completing his seven innings, causing no walk with one run, four hits and six strikes.

Slaton replaced Hawk for the eighth innings. Nathan Lukes single-handed one-out and finished third when Bo Bethet doubled on Abre’s head, which took a bad passage on a ball that hit the warning track. Gurero left a 3-2 curlball with a homer that rotated over the plate.

Yimi Garcia created an ideal ninth with two strikeouts to earn his second savings.

Boston’s Christian Campbell was late scratches due to inconvenience in its right rib cage.
