Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Delhi Capital by six wickets in their IPL 2025 match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. To bowl first, RCB banned DC at 162/8, in which Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets. Later, visitors Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli went into line in only 18.3 overs after scoring 74* and 51 runs respectively. However, there was a moment in the match that could change the result of the game in favor of DC.
During the seventh over of RCB’s run chase, Kohli played a shot on the delivery of Vipraj Nigam, which went towards the mid-wicket. Kuldeep Yadav got the ball and Kohli threw Krunal to the end of the striker after refusing a single.
Before the ball wicketkeeper KL Rahul arrives, Kohli caught it by the Central Marg and handed it over to Vipraj at the end of the bowler. Then, Kuldeep jokingly appealed to the field obstruction and the game continued.

If DC had raised the issue with the umpire, Kohli would have been declared. This could have been a big game changer for DC.
“It was a top win, especially looking at the surface. This wicket was played very differently for other games. Whenever I check with a dugout, I keep checking with the dugout, what is my role, what is the crunle.
“This year you can’t just come out and do not hit, you have to assess, understand the conditions and then plan accordingly. We have been beautifully communicated as a team in batting and that is why we have 7 out of 10 wins. It looks good for us. After Tim (David) we have it for we Romario (David).
