Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s final gesture of honor for MS Dhoni after ‘Battle of generations’




In a fight for generations, the youngest player and the oldest players in IPL history collided on Tuesday, as 14 -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi faced 43 -year -old MS Dhoni in the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Suryavanshi demonstrated his vast capacity, scoring 57 runs, to run RR from Dhoni -led CSK off only 33 balls. After the match, Suryavanshi and Dhoni shared a heartbreaking moment, as the young man bowed down from the captain of the legendary India to seek his blessings.

As players from both sides joined hands after the match, Suryavanshi took an opportunity to touch Dhoni’s feet in the behest of honor.

With a six -wicket win over Chennai Super Kings at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, Rajasthan Royals scored a top score with a delightful 57 with a six -wicket win over Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday from IPL 2025.

The result also means that CSK will now finish IPL 2025 at the bottom of the points table, until they will defeat the table-toppers Gujarat Titans by a big margin on Sunday. Pacers Akash Madhwal and Yudhivir Singh Charak chose three-first each to help RR ban on CSK up to 187/8, Suryavanshi pleased everyone with his four borders and left several sixes to help RR complete the chase with 17 balls, and buried his ghosts in the season.

Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were excellent in their scaffolding respectively and were driving away from Ahmed and Kamboj respectively, as RR had abolished the power-play at 56/1. While Samson moved Ravichandran Ashwin down for six of the ground, Suryavanshi dropped Nur Ahmed out of the backfoot for six, before he was muscleing him for two borders, as 17 runs came to the eighth position.

There was no stopping Suryavanshi as he threw Ravindra Jades on two sixes for two sixes on a long-on fence, before he reached his fifty by Noor for six. After Samson slammed Mathesh Pathirana for two borders, he was made a fox from Ashwin by a carrom ball and was taken out for long-on.

After four balls, Ashwin got stuck again as Suryavanshi placed his Hoek at a backward point and fell to 57 runs in 33 balls. Despite Ahmed’s sharp Gugli Castling Ryan Parag, Dhruv Jurle lasted him for four, besides drawing and paddling Jadeja for six and four respectively and heating Ashwin for paddle and maximum.

Shimron Hetmier smashed Ashwin for six and four, before Jurlel won the maximum win by giving a smack to Pathirana on the mid-night, and signed off one high from IPL 2025.
