‘Cloules, Fraud’: KKR buys Rs 23.75 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders Batter Venkatesh Iyer, who was purchased for a huge rupee for Rs 23.75 crore in the mega auction, failed to score a big score once again during the IPL 2025 encounter against Delhi’s capitals on Tuesday. Venkatesh’s value tag made him an important player for KKR, but he has been very disappointing in this year’s competition so far. He scored just 135 runs in 9 matches from DC Clash and on Tuesday, he was rejected by Exer Patel for only 7. Social media users were not happy with their disappointing run and Venkatesh was largely redeemed with his form on their extraordinary value tag.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has included unaccounted left-hand spinner Anukul Roy as an unchanged Delhi Capital (DC) and was selected to bowl first in the IPL 2025 matches 48 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.

DC has 12 points in nine matches, but he ended in favor of losing two out of three matches held at his original home ground in IPL 2025. A win will help him to go to 14 points and win his second win of the season in New Delhi.

After winning the toss, Skipar Axar Patel said, “The dew gets easy to bat in the second innings. I think it is a slow wicket, does not look dry and looks like a 190-200 pitch.”

“Will assess the situations and try to limit them to low clan. You need to stay in the present. We wanted to focus on this process, do not worry about the result. Our plans need to be executed.”

KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said that Roy Paer comes to Vaibhav Arora, which is now on the impact option list. The defending champion has just seven points from nine games and needs to win a place for a place in the playoffs.

“It is difficult to read the wicket, I felt that the left-arm spinner would be a good option on this surface. We need to win five out of five, as simple. We want to play a game at a time and we will move forward accordingly. It is difficult to read this wicket. It is difficult to read the conditions and need to assess quickly,” he said.

Tuesday’s game will be played at pitch number five, square boundaries are 63 meters and 62 meters respectively, with a straightforward limit 67 meters. Commentators Ian Bishop and Nick Knight said that the pitch seems more compact, as it has a little sheen.
