In a gesture of honor and solidarity, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahgam before the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. To honor those who lost their lives, one minute silence was seen before the game began. Players of KKR and PBKS also wore black armband during the match to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack. The customary ringing of Eden Bell, which has been a tradition for many years before a match began, was not done on Saturday as a mark of honor.
On this occasion, the cab was currently president Snehish Ganguly, Secretary Naresh Ojha, Treasurer Prabir Chakraborty, Joint Secretary Debbata Das, others. Apart from this, former Australian cricketer and assistant coach of PBKS Brad Hadin was also present.
Twenty -six people, most of the tourists, were killed and many were injured when terrorists set fire to a meadow near Pahgam, a popular tourist city in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Tuesday.
