The best catch of IPL 2025? Delhi’s capitals take overseas star stuner, leave fans in awe

Delhi Capital star Dushmanatha Chanera on Tuesday made a stunning grip to leave everyone in amazement during the IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders. In the 20th over of the KKR innings, Mitchell Starc was the highest form as he took two wickets in consecutive delivery. On the fourth ball of the over, Anukul Roy flick a half volley towards the backward class leg, but the ball was close to Chanera who was stationed in that area. However, Sri Lanka International still had to cover some land and he pulled a stunning full-table dive to pull a sensational catch.
The top-order of Kolkata Knight Riders gave him a blazing start, but the middle order failed to post 204 for 204 for nine against Delhi’s capitals in the IPL match on Tuesday.
Coming into the game with three defeats in their last five matches, KKR left for a flying start as Sunil Narin (27) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (26) put it on the highest opening stand of the team’s season – 48 runs away from just 17 balls – DC Skipur Axar Patel (2/27) won the toss.

However, defending champions stumbled into the middle overs and scored 45 runs in the last five overs, as DC pulled back things in the overs of death.
On a better batting surface compared to the previous game, Nerin attacked the enemy Chamera (1/46), broke it for 25 runs and included two sixes-one of them was a hand slogan on the midwick-and one four.
Gurbaz then took Mitchell Starc, killing two borders and a six, ending the opening stand before avoiding Abhishek Porl in the third over.
Skipper Ajinkya Rahane (26) continued the speed, killing Stark for a six and a four, and then added some more borders to Mukesh Kumar to carry KKR up to 79/1 at the end of the powerplay.
However, KKR overtook DC spinners in the middle over.
Vipraj Nigam (2/41) trapped Narayan leg-first, before Exer Patel removed Raine and Venkatesh Iyer (7) in quick succession, reduced visitors by 117/4 in 10 overs.
Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44) stabilized the innings with Rinku Singh (36), scoring 61 runs off 46 balls. Raghuvanshi hit two big sixes from Viraj, while Rinku targeted Kuldeep Yadav for two limits and in a six runs in a six runs, KKR helped cross the 150 -run mark.
There was a moment of misunderstanding when wicketkeeper Porl did not support Exer’s appeal to catch the leg side against Rinku. Later Ultraz showed a lead.
KKR placed its run rate above 10 for most parts, but lost the speed again as both Raghuvanshi and Rinku went into quick succession, respectively to Chanera and Vipraj, when they looked to expedite.
Andre Russell exploded two fours and one six to take KKR to 200-Mark. But KKR lost three wickets in several balls with Stark, with his dramatic two wickets in the last over.
