The ball is expected to play, and possibly hit on the ground, when Texas Rangers hosted Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, which is in the closing of the three-Gam American League West set in Arlington, Texas.

Los Angeles will start Jack Kochanoviz (1-1, 5.74 ERA), while Rangers partner will counter the right-handed Kumar rocker (0-2, 7.94). Both players pitch to contact, instead of going for strikeouts, they are looking for a quick innings made by ground balls.

Rangers captured the first two matches of the series and defeated Los Angeles 3–1 on Wednesday to use major pitching and time hits from Corey Seer and Jake Burger. Seigar had three hits and two RBI, and Burger added three hits and one RBI to make a solid start with Patrick Corbin (5 1/3 innings, one run, five hits).

Three Texas Relievers jointly needed just six pitches to get the final three outs to give a hit in the 3 2/3 shutout innings and earned their sixth savings of the season.

Rangers excluded Los Angeles from 11-6.

Angels left their third straight game and second consecutive series after winning their first four sets of the season.

Los Angeles needs to stop Kochanoviz and bring the team back on track. He is 0–2 in two career showcases (both start) against Rangers with 4.15 ERA and allowed 14 hits against them in 13 innings. His latest visit to the mound was on Friday, when he gave Houston Astro six runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings in a 14–3 defeat.

Kochanoviz used its powerful sinkar to woo the batsmen to hit the ground with balls. This season he has only nine strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings.

“I am certainly not evaluating the strikeout too much,” said Kochanoviz. “I know what my strength is, so I am playing for the same now. If things develop, things develop. But I am not really worried about it right now.”

Rocker will create its first appearance against angels. His most recent outing was 3 1/3-inning stent in Seattle on Saturday, scoring four runs (three earned) and 9–2 defeat on five hits.

After retiring the side in order in the first innings, Rocker allowed eight of the upcoming 14 hits to reach the base before being lifted with one in the fourth.

Ranger’s manager Bruce Bocha said of the introduction of Rocker, “When (Rocker) was going to fastball – that’s the place where he left his hits – because he fell behind in counting,” Bruce Bocha, the manager of Rangers, said about the start of Rocker. “He was throwing fastball in forecasted fastball. It usually does not work very well when you have to do it continuously.”

Rocker also has lower strikes than cochanoviz – 11 out of three in 1/3 innings just six.

At 11–7, Texas is tied with New York Yankis for the best record in the American League.
