On Wednesday, head coach Rahul Dravid said that Rajasthan Royals are monitoring Sanju Samson on “daily basis” on “daily basis”. Samson has so far recalled three matches because of swallowing – Lucknow Super Veterans, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans, and on Thursday, are also set to miss the next skirmish of RR against Mumbai Indians. Dravid said that when Samson is recovering well, the franchise would not want to hurry the wicketkeeper-bitter.
“Sanju is getting well well, but we just have to take it day to day. It is a side-strain and sometimes these side strain can be a bit difficult and we don’t want to harm him in a long time,” Dravid replied to PTI’s query on RR skipper in Star Sports Press Room.
He said, “We are monitoring it on a daily basis and we will see how it draws.
It may be remembered that Samson recovered from a finger surgery after a blow during the T20I series against England in February, which forced him to play some of the early IPL matches as an expert batsman.
