Marco Jansen forced change, comes as the best all-rounder replacement

RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss in Qualifier 1, and opted to bowl first.
It was clear that Punjab kings Bowler Marco Jansen used to fly back before the IPL 2025 playoffs, and by its courtesy, Shreyas Iyer was to make the only change in the playing XI for Qualifier 1 vs. RCB. The team management drafted the world’s best ODI all -rounder, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarjai.
PBKs only make a change
What came as a surprise, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who last played on 18 May due to an injury, and the qualifier was expected to return to 1, was left once again. This means, there is still no clarity when the bowler will get full fitness.
Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar went to win all the important toss and opted for bowling first. On this decision, Iyer looked at a satisfied person, as he also wanted to bat for one wicket, who had seen the teams winning three times after batting for the first time, played in four matches.

He said in the toss, “The bowling would have been done earlier. If you look at the record here, the teams batting first have performed well, so I am optimistic. They (crowds) are tremendous and you need such vibration when you enter the ground and give a lot of energy.
