A meeting of BCCI officers is allegedly running to determine the future of IPL 2025
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently holding a meeting to decide on the future of IPL 2025. The meeting comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor. On Thursday, the game between PBKS and DC in Dharamsala was called off mid-way following Pakistan’s attempts to attack several Indian cities close to the venue.
Will IPL 2025 be suspended?
As per Cricbuzz, the BCCI is considering all options on the table, including “suspending the league”. A source informed the website that a definitive decision on the continuation of IPL 2025 is expected to be taken today (Friday).
“We should hear something definitive today. Under the circumstances, whether to continue with the league is topmost point on the agenda,” an informed source said.
As per news agency PTI, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia had earlier on Friday informed that no emergency meeting had took place on Thursday. He had said that a decision would be taken through the course of the day regarding the future of IPL 2025.
