On the other hand, Sai Reformson has scored a half -century at number 4 and a century at number 6 for Surrey in England. For India A, he batted at number 3. In Australia, he scored a century, batting at number 3. However, with a left -handed batsman with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gambhir can choose for a right hand.
KL Rahul benefits from this. Even though Rahul went to Australia as a reserved middle-order batter, he was promoted to the initial slot with Rohit Sharma recalling the first Test. Rahul scored 77 runs in the second innings of the Perth Test and 84 runs in the Brisbane Test. With so many changes in their batting positions in the last two years, it is unlikely that the team management will once again tamper with the aspect. Rahul is a possible opener.
Not Sudhrasan 3 at 3?
There is speculation that Shubman Gill will be asked to take Virat Kohli’s number 4 place. Gill has not succeeded in 3 selected locations after snatching Cheteshwar Pujara from tests.
