Suzuki moved 2 -for -3 and then hit his ninth homer of the season on top of the seventh, when he hit a slider from Reliever Kail Nicholas on a left area fence for a two -run shot.

For Chicago, Swanson finished 2 -for -4 with two runs and opened his sixth homer in the season to fifth.

Chicago’s Power Display supported another strong start by Colin Ri (2–0), who gave four hits and two runs for two runs while making two hits in six innings.
