Father -e -truck driver, India U19 star Hartansh Singh refused to visit Canada. Now, selected for England Tour




The 19-year-old batting sensation Ayush Mhatre will lead India U-19 during his upcoming tour of England. A month-long tour will include a 50-over warm-up match, five-match young one-day series and two multi-day matches against England Lions. Mhatre has impressed in its first Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign, scoring 206 runs in six matches at a remarkable strike rate of 187.27. The 16-Man Squad is also a 14-year-old batting, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who recently became the youngest batsman to break the IPL Centur while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat’s Titans.

Abhigian Kundu, who will also serve as a wicketkeeper, is named as the vice-captain of the side, while Hartanash Singh is another option in that department.

Hartansh, who played domestic cricket at a junior level for Saurashtra, slammed a century last year during a young test against Australia U -19.

A few years ago, Hurtash had an option to go to Canada, but decided to live in India. His father, Damandip Singh, is a truck driver in Canada. He lives with his mother in India, while the rest of his family members are in Canada.

With Hartanash ready to go on his first foreign tour, Damandip refused to go to Canada to live his dream of representing India in international cricket.

Damandip told The Times of India (toi), “There are many congratulatory messages. It feels good. It brings a lot of memories when Harsansh called me ‘no’ about going to Canada. He was harsh, and he is living his dream,” Damandip told Times of India (TOI).

Hartesh faded Yuvraj Singh during growing up and turned to the south due to the all -rounder of the mythological India.

“My elder brother and I were crazy about cricket. We used to play for a hobby. Even Rajkot is 200 km from our city. It was only in 2012 when the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) opened an academy in our city. I named one of the six.
