India A Squad for England Tour: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishaan Kishan Headline Team, Big RCB Star to Miss Out – Report

India’s visit to England, which begins in mid -June, holds additional importance after the retirement of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin. India will play five Tests in England starting on 20 June. Prior to the main tour, one India will visit England for one side for two matches. After the completion of IPL 2025 (as per earlier program), India A tour was scheduled to begin on 30 May. But, now IPL 2025 is being played in the final on June 3, which means that India may start late, as some players will be selected, the T20 franchise may be in action in the league.

According to a report by the Indian Express, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ishaan Kishan will have the top two names in a squad for the first informal test against Lions of England in India. The report further stated that the BCCI selector headed by Ajit Aggar will choose a 14-member squad for the first match of Bharat A, which will have players whose teams will not qualify for the IPL 2025 playoff stage.

Karun Nair, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhimanyu Ishwaran, Dhruv Juraral, Shardul Thakur, Tanush Kotian, Akash Deep, Khalel Ahmed, Ansul Kamboj and Manav Suthar are some other players who are expected to be selected, the report said. Sarfaraz Khan, who is not playing IPL 2025, will get England with the main squad. RCB captain Rajat Patidar, down with a finger injury, cannot cut for England tour.

The report further states that Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan and Washington Sundar may be sent for second stability. India has also been scheduled to play an intra-squad match before the first Test against England.

The performance of these matches will be closely seen with two slots, which die for retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Abhimanyu Ishwaran will hop that along with top artists in the domestic circuit, India A will also be expected to seal its place in the team. Karun Nair, who is also becoming great in domestic competitions, will be eager to perform for India A.

The report states that Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Sirj, Harshit Rana and Prasad Krishna are the top options for the England Tour. Ansul Kamboj is also an external chance.
