Vikings QB JJ McCarthy: ‘I know I’m ready to start’

The Minnesota Vikings Quarterback JJ McCarthi on Tuesday presented themselves to reporters by throwing a pass on the practice area and answering questions at the TCO demonstration center at Egan, Min, Min.
Wearing a wide smile that spread from the ear to the ear, McCarthy was quickly with a response when he was asked if he was ready to start the 2025 season after remembering his deceitful campaign due to his right knee torn meniscus.
“I know I am ready to start,” said Macarthi.
“Because whatever work I have done and simply believe in my skills and abilities and just being able to do my work, to simplify your ability every single day and you know that take it a day a day, a game at a time. I have a tremendous coaching staff, there is a tremendous group of people around me and they can bow with me.”
Macarthi also addressed his changing body, which he says that he was back to 215 pounds after taking a dip in the high -180s when he was not able to work outside.
Vikings coach Kevin O’Conel told reporters last week that Macarthi is in an advantage from learning the team’s system till this point. Macarthi agreed with that assessment on Tuesday.
He said, “The whole process has been a unique. I have not suffered such hurt that I have been sitting for so long.” “I was very grateful for the occasion that I had to actually start a head of the mental side of the game. … actually happening on the same page with (O’conal).”
McCarthi said that when he heard a continuous chatter while incorporating the possible joints of Aron Rodgers, the 22 -year -old said he was focused on work only in hand.
“Apparently (i) honor Aaron Roadors, who is one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game, but I was focusing on that day-day work,” he said. “What I was doing here, what I was doing at home, to make myself the best overall player I can do.”
Vikings started from 2024 from quarterback Sam Daranold, who signed a free agency with Seattle Sehox after a surprising season in Minnesota.
The other quarterbacks on the Minnesota roster are the newly acquired Sam Howell, Veteran Brett Rapion and Undefied Free Agent Max Brosmer.
After winning a National Championship in Michigan, Vikings selected McCarthy 10th in the 2024 draft. He underwent knee surgery in mid -August after playing at Vikings’ Presiden opener.
