Gujarat’s Titans captain Shubman Gill was fined Rs 12 lakh on Saturday, when a slow rate was maintained during a seven -wicket win over the Delhi Capital in the Indian Premier League in Jaipur. Jose Butler riding an unbeaten 97, which he made cramping cramps, Gujarat Titans chased a target of 204 with four balls.
The IPL said in a statement, “Because it was the first crime of his team under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s code of conduct, which is related to minimum over-rate crimes, a fine of 12 lakhs was imposed on Gill.”
