“Great to see him growing”: Eoin Morgan praised IPL 2025 Purple Cap holder Prasad Krishna

Former England captain Eoin Morgan was pleased to see Pesar Prasad Krishna of Titans in Gujarat, who so far claims the purple cap for most of the skulls in the IPL 2025 season. Defending 198, Krishna returned 2–25 figures in his four overs, while Rashid Khan also finished with the same figures, which limited Kolkata Knight Riders to 159/8 in 20 overs to guide GT to win 39 runs in Eden Garden. Jeet topped the table with 12 points in eight matches. With 16 wickets in eight matches, the 29 -year -old is the leading wicket in the tournament and enjoys a healthy difference with second -ranked Kuldeep Yadav, who has 12 wickets in seven matches for Delhi capitals.
“He is currently a purple cap holder, and his rhythm is simply getting better. We know that he has additional speed to work, but you have to praise the strength during the middle phase of the game. As a captain, as a captain, near a seamor that can create that kind of effect in the middle overs, it can actually act.
Morgan said on Gehotstar, “He now finds himself with the most wickets in this year’s tournament – by some margin, in fact, from four. He is being rewarded with growing as a player, developing in formats and now also with national honors.”
This was also the second time when KKR’s batting took place after a loss of 16 runs against Punjab Kings in the last match, while chasing only 112.
Morgan dissected KKR’s performance and inability to bounce back to the match, causing the defending champion to defeat the second consecutive house in the season.
“Kolkata Knight Riders have not just bounced back and also we like them. It is always a good sign for a strong team with a lot of character, but they had the same failures that they have shown in the entire tournament. They have made some changes, mainly to get some imports in their batting line, and they said that they did not return.
“It was interesting to talk about Ajinkya Rahane that he talked about being a score of 1999. Because towards the back of the Gujarat Titans’ innings, we thought that we conduct the ball more than expected. This made the borders difficult.
KKR will host Punjab Kings on Saturday, while Gujarat will shut the horns on April 28 with the struggle of Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
