“Gozbumps”: KL Rahul gets special praise from father -in -law Sunil Shetty from father -in -law to celebrate

KL Rahul performed one of the most memorable celebrations of IPL 2025 when Delhi Capital (DC) defeated the first Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Rahul, a resident of Bengaluru, broke an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls to take DC to win, and followed it with an explosive festival. Rahul left an impression on the Chinnaswamy pitch with his bat, and then says ‘This is my Ground’. The festival is designed by fans, and Rahul has received a special appreciation from his father -in -law Sunil Shetty.
KL Rahul’s wife Athiya’s father actor Sunil Shetty has spoken his views about the batsman’s celebration.
“I loved it. Even when I see it now, I get cow pumps. Every cricketer should have such a moment. He believes, ‘I can do it, and I have done it.’
Rahul – who used to play for RCB – made a celebration as he helped DC chase the target of 164 with more than two overs.
“I think he came after the World Cup and the World Test Championship, showing that he can finish, and he believes in himself,” Shetty said.
Local boy. Big stage. Gave a statement.

Shetty also explained in detail how Rahul has adapted both from a mental perspective between the toll raised as a player and on social media.
“In the past, he used to do a lot of pure sessions, a lot of functional training. I think he realized that he wanted to enjoy the game now. People often say that a cricketer is playing very slowly, or he accuses him that he is trying to play very fast and is irresponsible. It is not just KL Rahul -I am not trying to attack that balance.”
“There is pressure from social media and elsewhere. I think these youth often get stuck in the middle. But this time, he (Rahul) believes that he needs to express himself. And he probably feels more happy to kill sixes and boundaries than just playing stable cricket.
Rahul has scored 371 runs at a strike rate of 146 in nine outings for Delhi Capital (DC), who bought him for Rs 14 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
