“Gets easy for me …”: Mumbai Indians acted on bowling with Jasprit Bumrah-Trent Bowl Paes Duo

“These people have performed well in international cricket and this experience is helping me. When you bowl as a group, it becomes difficult for the opposition,” Char said.
Four also expressed happiness how both batsmen and bowlers have clung equally in the last eight to nine matches.
“When you are performing as a team and you are confident, you can take some extra time to settle. So, I think it’s collective team work that was on performance,” he said.
In his team, which reaches the top of the table, he said, “I think it’s good to be on top. When you finish in the top two, you get an additional chance. Also, the speed is with us. As a player and as a team, you try to focus on a game at a time without thinking about the result,” he said.
Four concluded saying that the team is taking each match on its merit, and their focus is already on the match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Wankhede on 6 May.
Coming into the match, MI was first placed by RR to bowl, which had chosen the first field. Men in pink colors were soon designed to regret their decision, as opener Ryan Ricelton (61 in 38 balls with 61, seven fours and three sixes) and Rohit Sharma (53 in 36 balls, with 53, nine fours) scored 116 runs. After both openers were rejected, Suryakumar Yadav (48*in 23 balls, with four borders and three sixes) and Skipar Hardik Pandya (48*in 23 balls, with six fours and a six) took the 94 -run stand to 217/2 in 20 overs. Mahesh Thekshana and captain Ryan got one wicket.
During the run-chase, RR Powerplay looked helpless against a top-ranked Mi attack, drowned until 47/5. It was Joffra Archer (with 30, two fours and two sixes in 27 balls), who scored the top as RR, scored 117 runs in 16.1 overs, lost by 100 runs.
Kern Sharma (3/23) and Bault (3/28) were bowlers’ picks for MI, Jaspreet Bumrah also pressurized the four -over spell of 2/15. Skipper Hardik also got one wicket.
Ricelton was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
The MI is at the top of the table with seven wins and four necklaces, giving them 14 points. The RR is out of the playoff race, in the eighth position with three wins and eight defeats, giving them six points.
