Devils Luke Hughes, Brendon Dillon Game 2 vs out for storm

New Jersey Devils Defenseman Luke Hughes and Brendon Dillon, Rale, Nekan will sit out of Game 2 of the first round series of Eastern Conference against Carolina Storm in NC

Coach Sheldon’sfe dismissed the two players after attending the morning skate on Tuesday.

Hughes and Dillon on Sunday maintained their respective, undeclared injuries during the 4–1 defeat of Carolina in Game 1, with the exit later in the second period while in the east third.

“We have to go back to the jersey after today and see where they are, but they will be out tonight,” Keep said on Tuesday.

The 21 -year -old Hughes had 44 points (seven goals, 37 aids) in 71 matches this season.

34 -year -old Dillon scored a total of 16 points (two goals, 14 assistance) playing in all 82 matches this season.

Simon Namek, which was the number 2 overall pick in the 2022 NHL draft, and Dennis Cholowski is expected to play in the absence of Hughes and Dill.

Forward Kodi Glass is expected to play even after taking an unknown stick from his team partner, goalkeeper Jacob Markstrom in the third period in Game 1.
