Mohammad Siraj calms down after GT Star’s blunder. Ravi Shastri’s response adds to the play
Mohammad Siraj on Sunday lost his cool in his Gujarat Titans (GT) team partner R Sai Kishore during his final group game of IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The incident occurred on a Pentimet ball of the fifth over of CSK’s innings. CSK Batter Urville Patel pushed Sirj’s delivery towards mid-off and pushed it for the same. While he completed the run comfortably, GT captain Shubman Gill decided to go to stumps. Gill impressed a straight hit, but the ball went to overthrow after deflect with stumps.
This became worse for GT, when the teenager sprinkled from the square-leg area and slipped to the ball to collect the ball. He accidentally pushed the ball away for a single, allowing the CSK batsmen to steal another run, making it three runs with the ball.
The cameras caught Sirj in a teenager by dropping it in one mouth and even broke the ball on the ground. Finally, he was consoled by Gill, whose mistake provoked the entire episode.

Coming into the match, CSK won the toss and chose to bat first.
