Suryakumar Yadav paid special tribute to Rohit Sharma, when Wankhedi was unveiled: “Even more prestigious …”

India and Mumbai team partner Suryakumar Yadav congratulated India’s batsman Rohit Sharma after the taught batsman’s years of hard work, which saw that the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) rewarded him with his own stand at the prestigious Wankhede Stadium here on Friday. Rohit Sharma Stand was unveiled at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday evening, in which Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also in attendance. Yadav, who is also a partner of Rohit’s team with Mumbai Indians, claimed that Indian cricket’s Mecca, Wankhede Stadium, is now ‘even more distinguished’.

Rohit, who recently retired from Test cricket, has been a stalwart of Mumbai cricket and has successfully captained India for a serial ICC Trophy with T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy.
The inaugural batsman has represented India from early 2007 and was a part of the side that won the 2007 T20 World Cup. He has represented the nation in 159 T20I, 273 ODI and 67 Tests. He called the screen on his T20i career after the World Cup victory in Barbados last year.
As part of the incident, MCA officially unveiled Sharad Pawar Stand, Rohit Sharma Stand, Ajit Vedkar Stand and former MCA President of MCA in memory of Amol Kale.
