Abhishek Nair’s team emerges a big details on sacking India: “Some people in BCCI …”

In a major development, Abhishek Nair, T. Dilip and Soham Desai are expected to be removed from India’s men’s cricket team support staff. Sources have also told IANS that a team Masur, whose identity is not yet known, has also been removed from the national set-up. Nair came as an assistant coach of the Indian team in July last year after exiting Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while Dilip and Desai have been part of the set-up since November 2021 and October 2020 respectively. The quartet was part of India’s 2025 Champions Trophy Triumph in an unbeaten campaign in Dubai.
Sources told IANS on Thursday, “Some people in the board were saying what is the matter of so many people in the support employees of the men’s team, especially after the defeat of the Test series in Australia. He had the idea that with so many coaches, the support staff of the men’s team gave a crowd.
“So, it cannot be dismissed, it is just about giving a lean look to supporting employees. Also, it cannot make the choice of Nair, Dileep and Desai as a good or bad coach, as they still have a lot to offer Indian cricket and shape their future players,”
A lot of batsmen in the Indian team including KL Rahul had credited Nair for a mental change to achieve success in white-ball cricket. The same optimistic response came to Dileep, under which the Indian team reached the top level in fielding. Masseer in question is also considered with the Indian team for a few years.
Sources have also told IANS that the responsibilities of Nair and Dileep will be fully taken by batting coach Satanshu Kotk and Assistant Coach Ryan Ten Dochet, who were fielding coaches in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), from which the head coach Gautam Gambir was the patron before changing the Indian team.
In place of Desai, IANS understands that the name of Adrian Le Rukes has emerged as their replacement. Le Rukes, currently with KKR from 2008 to 2019, were with the Indian team in the same capacity from 2002 to 2003, the IPL Side Punjab Kings strength and conditioning coaches. India’s immediate international assignment will be a five -match Test tour of England, starting on 20 June.
