To restart IPL 2025, New India Test Captain Update and BCCI requested not to retire Kohli?

The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is trying to resume the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 after agreeing to the ceasefire of India and Pakistan. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Pesar Umran Malik will not return to his home state Jammu and Kashmir due to the current status of affairs. Foreign stars like Tom Curan and Derryl Mitchell were afraid of their lives in Pakistan, signed deals to play in 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In non-IPL news, Virat Kohli has allegedly decided to retire from Test cricket. This has hurt the BCCI, who was thinking of naming India’s interim captain for the England Test series. The new captain, who will replace Rohit Sharma, will be announced in 2 weeks.

IPL 2025 to restart soon?
