Yuzvendra Chahal broke Sunil Narine’s all-time IPL record with KKR heroines

Punjab Kings (PBK) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, along with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), tied the most four wickets in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to Halls. Chahal achieved this milestone during his match against KKR in Mulanpur on Tuesday. During the match, Chahal gave a 4/28 game-changing spell in four overs, receiving the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh, who chased 112 runs and dropped KKR from 62/2 to 95.
Now, the IPL career of both Chahal and Narin has eight to four-cicat halls, the highest by any bowler. This was Chahal’s third 4-plus wicket Hall vs KKR, the highest by a bowler against a rival in the IPL. In particular, Chahal has taken 33 wickets against KKR, which is the third highest by any bowler against a rival in the IPL.
In the ongoing IPL season, Chahal has taken six wickets in six matches in six matches at an average of 32.50, with the economy rate of 10.26.
He has also made T20 heavyweight Mohammad Nabi (369 wickets) and Mohammad Amir (366 wickets) the 11th most wicket -taking in the history of T20. The most wickets by a bowler in T20 are by Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan (638 wickets in 468 matches). Chahal, with 370 wickets in 318 matches, is going to take major T20 wickets among Indian bowlers.
Coming into the match, PBK won the toss and opted to bat first. Priyash Arya (22 in 12 balls with 22, three fours and one six) and Prabhasimran Singh (30 in 15 balls, with two fours and three sixes) gave PBK a fierce start with a stand of 39 runs. However, a powerplay spell by Harshit Rana (3/25) and some of Ramandip Singh’s spectacular fielding pushed him up to 54/4 at the end of the powerplay. Narin (2/14) and Varun Chalwarti (2/21) dominated the following stages of innings, did not allow PBK batsmen to settle, excluded them for 111 in 15.3 overs.
During the run-chase, the PBKS bowlers fought a great battle, with mantras to mantra with spinners Yuzvendra Chahal (4/28) and Marco Jansen (3/17) that converted the match to their heads. Despite Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37 in 28 balls, with five fours and a six) and Andre Russell (with 17 in 11 balls, with four and two sixes), KKR was excluded for 95 in 15.1 overs, losing by 16 runs.
