Yuvraj Singh closed Abhishek Sharma to stop ‘parties, girlfriends’, says Yograj. Shubman Gill was …

Yuvraj Singh, all -rounder of mythological India, has played an important role in Abhishek Sharma’s Rise to Riches. Abhishek recently earned his first central contract as he was placed under Grade C by BCCI in his 2024–25 annual player retainship. However, Abhishek’s journey on top has not been an easy, ask Yuvraj Singh, who took him under his wings when he was a teenager. The 24 -year -old never missed the opportunity to mention Yuvraj’s name to shape his career.

Yuvraj’s father, Yogaj Singh, has discovered Abhishek’s talent for the first time during various age-group tournaments organized by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) to his son. When Yuvraj asked the PCA for Abhishek’s statistics, he listed him as a bowler.

“When we asked PCA and coaches about a list of Abhishek Sharma’s performance. Do you know what he said? Sir, he is a bowler. He bowls. Yuvi said,” You just look at his performance records. ” So, when we saw the record, Abekh told 24 hundreds of people, ‘Why are you giving wrong information?

“And when Yuvi sent me that record, he said,” Papa, look at this player. ” I said, see, all this information is about sharing.

Yograj also remembered how Abhishek’s father was struggling to control his fiery lifestyle, only to intervene by Yuvraj. The rest, as they say, is history. Yuvraj stopped Abhishek from attending late night parties and meeting girlfriends in odd hours.

“Late night parties … Girlfriend. What happened then? Yuvraj said, ‘Stop it.’ He came under Yuvraj Singh’s wings because his father could not handle him, ‘Where are you?’ Then he handed over the phone and went to bed.

Yograj also added Yuvraj, similarly Shubman also handled Gill’s position.

“This is what happened to Shubman Gill. But what happened then what happens when the diamond gets into the hands of another diamond? It turns into Kohinoor, and this is what happened to Abhishek Sharma. If this diamond had gone into the wrong hands of a kudal, it would have broken and shattered. Many players in India were broken.”
