Robbie Ray First NL Pitcher to 8 Win Giants Edge Padress

Dominic Smith capted the third innings of three runs with two-RBI doubles and Robbie Ray became the first eight-game winner of the National League as San Francisco veterans saved the partition of four games against San Diego Padress with a 3–2 win on Thursday afternoon.

Creating his second appearance for veterans after signing as these-season free agents, Smith made three out of six hits of San Francisco, with two out of which the largest and two were out in the third.

Expecting to register a third win in the series after winning both Mondays and Tuesdays, Padress had to jump on Ray when Machao launched his eighth home run of the season in the top of the third. The explosion also created Louis Arrayz, who did a single.

Arraz had to leave the game in the sixth innings after being suffering from a clear leg injury while running on a ground ball first on a ground ball.

Injured in five innings, exiting seven. He gave three runs, five hits and three walks.

Chapman had two hits for veterans, who gave themselves a shot on the partition of a series with a win 6–5 on Wednesday night. All four games in the set were fixed by one run.

Machao and Jose Iglesias collected two hit episles for Padress, who defeated the veterans 7-6.
