Special arrangement of BCCI to vacate Punjab Kings, players from Delhi capitals from Dharamshala

The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) arranged a special Vande Bharat train to transport the players of the entire broadcasting crew from Delhi Capital (DC), Punjab Kings (PBK) and Dharmashala to Delhi. The decision was taken in light of the prevailing position in the state and the logical challenges after the sudden cancellation of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the two sides. According to a Board of Control (BCCI) source for cricket in India, around 300 people-including players, assistant employees and broadcasters, will board a high-speed train to ensure a smooth and safe transit.
The development falls on the heels of the unfortunate incident on Thursday night at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, where the much awaited match between PBK and DC was closed due to floodlight failure.
Defense sources said on Thursday that Pakistan fired eight missiles directed in Satvari, Samba, RS Pura and Arnia and all were stopped by air defense units.
The explosions were heard in the form of Indian air defense intercepted Pakistani drones in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. Explosions in the sky were heard and seen. At the stagnation of playing, the PBKS side was 122/1 in 10.1 overs, with Prabhasimran Singh (50*) and Shreyas Iyer (0*) unbeaten at the crease.
Coming into the match, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and was elected to bat first.
Batsmen Priyash Arya and Prabhasimran Singh came in the middle to open the innings for the hosts. Both players started attacking the bowlers from the first over.
The Punjab -based franchise completed a 50 -run mark off the last ball of the 4th over, as Priyanus Arya slammed a border on the bowling of the right -arm seamor enemy Chanera.
After the end of Powerplay (6 overs), PBKS Priyash was unbeaten on the crease with Arya (42*) and Prabasimran Singh (26*).
Priyash Arya completed his half -century in 25 balls, while Prabimron Singh completed the fourth fifty consecutive fifty in IPL 2025 and completed his half -century in 28 balls.
Shreyas Iyer-led sides touch the 100-run mark in the 9th over, as Prabhasimran Right-Arm is a double on the bowling of Seemar Madhav Tiwari, who was playing his first IPL match.
