Team Tidebound and Gamin Gladiators won the first day of the group stage in PGL Walchia Season 5 to win in Bucharest, Romania.
The group phase runs from Wednesday and a revised Swiss system features 16 teams. All matches are the best of three. Eight teams will proceed to the playoffs, which are double elimination and run by 26-29 June. All playoff matches are the best of the three except the final, the best of the five.
The award pool contributes $ 1 million, with the winner taking $ 350,000 home.

Netus Vinsare defeated Nigma Galaxy 2–1, taking the opener to green in 40 minutes. Nigma won Green in 29 minutes, when Natus Vinsare claimed the match that the marathon won a 56 -minute win over Green with a 56 -minute win.
