PIF started $ 13m to go to the tournament series

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has invested $ 13 million to rebrand the European tour events of five women.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has made a major financial commitment to the Ladies European Tour (LeT) to become the title sponsor of five female golf events.

Earlier, the program known as the Armco team series has been re -designed as the PIF Global Series and will be in five countries in three continents in 2025. In the tournament, the award purse will be increased from $ 1 million to $ $ 2 million.

The news comes in February on a $ 5 million prize pursed shoe for PIF Saudi Ladies International, which Jeno Thaitikul gave a $ 675,000 prize for his victory. The incident will remain intact for the 2026 season.

PIFs are in five events with global series:

-PIF Saudi Ladies International: Riyadh Golf Club, Riyadh (on 12 February)

-Ramo Korea Championship: New Korea Country Club, Seoul, South Korea (9-11 May)

-PIF Championship: Centurion Club, London (August 8-10)

-Moco Houston Championship: TBC, Houston (September 5-7)

-Ramo Shenzhen Championship: Mission Hills, Shenzhen, China (November 6-8)

The collective prize pool in all five incidents is $ 13 million.

PIF-supported LIV, similar to the LIV Golf League, will take both the team and individual competitions together in each of the improved events in each. For the team competition, the Captain will be appointed on the basis of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking and the draft of their teams will be prepared.

Golf Saudi Ambassador Charlie Hull said, “The new PIF is another very big moment for the global series late, as it continues and offers players more opportunities to play and win in amazing programs around the world.” “Golf Saudi and PIF have proved to be a real game changer for women’s golfs, once again support their commitment to create equal opportunities and increase the bar for players.

“I like to play either as a person or in a team, so I can’t wait to do TE in series programs throughout the year and hope that more and more youth can be motivated in golf worldwide.”

In addition to Live and Late, PIF has recently invested significant in ATP and WTA Tennis Tours, including serving both organizations as a naming partner for the ranking system.
