Report: Michigan’s Sharon Moore faced a two-game ban

ESPN said on Monday that Michigan plans to suspend football coach Sharon Moore for two matches as part of its self-filled sanctions in the 2023 advanced scouting scandals.
Moore will allegedly recall the third and fourth games of Wolverins in this season: September 13 at home against Central Michigan, and September 20 Big Ten Opener in Nebraska.
Michigan opened the season against New Mexico at N Arber on 30 August before playing in Oklahoma – Moore’s Alma Mater on 6 September.
Moore was an aggressive coordinator of Wolverins in 2023, when former Michigan employee Connor Stallian allegedly operated a sign-styling scheme, which includes friends and family in the game of future opponents and videotep sideline signals.
According to ESPN, Moore’s suspension is associated with allegations that he removed a thread of more than 50 text messages with Stallian in October 2023.
NCAA quoted Michigan for 11 violations in a notice of allegations in August 2024, including six level I (most serious) violations. Schools and NCAA are still working on the final solution to the case.
Moore, 39, made Jim Harbagh successful and directed Wolverin for 8–5 records (5-4 Big Ten) in the previous season, ending with a 19–13 victory against Alabama at Reliyakvest bowl on 31 December.
