Slade Cechoni gave seven shutout innings, as the parents of Cleveland vacated athletics 3–0 in a rubber match of the three-game series in West Sacramento, California on Sunday afternoon.
Cecconi (3-3) allowed six hits with one walk and three strikes. Cad Smith and Tim Herin recorded their 18th Save to jointly avoid a base-loaded jam in the ninth for a scorer eighth innings before the Emmanuel Class.
Athletics made a walk between a pair of single to load the locations with one in the ninth. Class hit a pinch-Hitter Max Munsi on three pitches before taking out Lawrence Butler.
Steven Quan scored two hits and a run for Cleveland, which concluded the Nine-Game Road Trip with a record of 4–5.
Athletics left 10 runners on the base and lost to The Guardian for the 12th time in his last 14 meetings. Brent Rooker and Tyler Sodersstrom collected two hit episles.
Cleveland took a 2–0 lead in the second innings against JP Sears (5-7), who beat Angel Martinez before walking the leadoff hit Kyle Manzardo.
