Despite being above 3–1 in the first round series of its best Eastern Conference with Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs has begun to listen to the whispers of their recent failures to clinch the playoff series.

Maple Leafs has lost 12 of its last 13 possible series-clinning games and will host Game 5 in Toronto on Tuesday night after a 4-3 overtime defeat in Game 4 in Ottawa.

Toronto coach Craig Beerub tried to talk about his way around the elephant in the room.

Bearub said, “Not going to see it too much. The boom does not come. It can end it. Kill a post.” “I don’t think it was so tonight. I felt that our team worked hard, did a lot of great things. We gave four shots in two periods (second and third). I mean, we worked hard.”

Maple Leafs competed with losses 2–0 and 3–2 in Game 4.

Goalkeeper Anthony Stolarz after the first defeat in 12 matches, “We thought,” we played a hell of a game, being able to bounce back from just 2–0, 3–2. “My end only boils to save another. But in all, I thought it was a really good effort by people.”

Toronto Star Center and Captain Auston Mathews did not practice on Monday, but the team said it was only for comfort. He played 26:23 on Saturday.

John Thawres practiced on Monday. He missed the part of the overtime in Game 4 after a hit by Senators’ Defenseman Artem Zub, but returned.

“I don’t think there was any worry. He had to go away,” said Barub. “At that time, we had a power play, and he was not there. But this is what it is.”

Defenseman Jake Sanderson’s target 17:42 In Game 4, Ottawa gave the opportunity to play at least one more game in overtime.

“It was great,” Sanderson said about the celebration with his colleagues after scoring the game winner. “Especially just ending on the glass and making (fans) so excited. I think we will enjoy a little tonight. But shift our attention to the next game very quickly here.”

Sanderson, who also had a support, sent a one -time high wrist shot from the left point to the net and stolez, which was screen and Puck was not seen.

“I think I was coming out of a long innings, so I was collecting myself and then saw it going in,” said Brady Takachuk, captain of the senators. “Just a relief. I mean what a goal is, what is the goal at a time. I honestly cannot even describe this feeling. It happened so fast. And to do it in front of this incredible fan base that is sticking with us on this difficult road – it was a special moment.”

This is the first playoff experience for Ottawa’s young core.

David Peron said, “You had to go a little bit of experience,” David Peron said, which targets the senators 3–2 in the third period. “And it is good that we are able to start building our game.”
