James Wood, Nationals aims for fence against meriners

James Wood has played less than a full session in major leagues, but he has already shown that he can kill the ball hard and far.
Wood drove his second tape-papped house in several nights, as the citizens of Washington beat hosts Seattle Meriners 9–0 on Wednesday.
He will try to make it 3 -for -3 when the interlayg series ends Thursday night.
Wood exploded 435 feet in front of the hit It Cafe in the fifth innings on Wednesday, then on Wednesday, in the fifth innings, the cafe was given in the right ground, then two runs in the eighth.
Homer’s exhaust velocity was 113.3 mph. This was his fifth time deepening 112 mph or more, with Kyle Schwar (2021) the statecast started its trekking in 2015 since the most tied in the same season in the history of the franchise.
“He is incredible,” the citizens said Hitter Josh Bell. “This is not surprising. It seems that it does not matter from the ground, the pitch does not matter, it is closed. And if you make mistakes in the heart of the plate and it expands, no ballpark can catch it.”
Not even a T-Mobile Park, which is known to limit the hits due to its marine layer.
Wood’s career-Best 448-Footer was the longest hit in Ballpark, Seattle this season with the batsman’s eye in the center’s field on Tuesday on Tuesday, which crossed the 444-foot shot by the Aaron Judge of New York Yankis on 14 May.
Washington’s manager Dave Martinez said, “I love the way I hit me.” “Whether it is this ballpark or
Bell, Luis Garcia Junior and Robert Hassel III also deepened for citizens to return six shutouts by Trevor Williams on Wednesday. It was Hassel’s first homer after starting its Major League last week.
Martinez praised his team for losing 9–1 to Meriners last night.
“If you do not try and do a lot and live on baseball, it allows them to succeed,” the skipper said. “It was a hard game (Tuesday), and we came back and played the game correctly.”
CJ Abrams, Wood and Hassel were one of the possibilities of citizens who were achieved on August 2, 2022 from San Diego Padress in exchange for all-star outfielders Juan Soto and Bell, who returned to DC as a free agent in January.
Another player Washington found in the deal, the left-handed McKenzie Gor (2–5, 3.47 ERA), who are set to start the conclusion of the series against Meriners’ right-hand Erson Hancock (2-2, 5.95).
Gor, in his most recent beginning, took a harm to a hard-fought, especially when he came out after releasing the leadoff walk in the seventh innings on Friday, he was scorched. He accused two hits with one run as a 4–0 defeat for San Francisco veterans.
Only once when Gor has faced merriners, he won on May 24, 2024 after throwing seven innings of one run ball and exiting eight.
Hancock, who had never opposed citizens, snatched four-start winners streak on Friday when he was strong in Houston. He limited Astro to three runs on nine hits in six innings.
Meriners have lost four of their last six matches, but Wednesday’s shock was the highest in Seattle season. Meriners fell only five hits-all single-and sports fell by 2–12, in which they failed in Homer.
Seattle manager Dan Wilson said, “Tonight a difficult,” said Seattle Manager Dan Wilson. “To move beyond one.”
