F Alex Condon exits NBA draft, returns to Florida

Forward Alex Kondon, who played an important role in Florida’s run at the National Championship, will return to his junior season after telling ESPN on Tuesday that he is withdrawing from the 2025 NBA draft.
Australia’s 6-Foot-11 natives took an average of 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 37 Games (35 beginning) in 2024-25.
“This is really a good situation waiting for me,” Condon told ESPN. “A great coach with Todd Golden. I won a national championship with teammates. I have great chemistry with those boys. We have a good transfer class. I hope people will make a jump. My big men are returning to coach Carlin Hartman, so I will continue to develop my game with them.”
The deadline for players to withdraw from the draft of June 25-26 and maintain their college eligibility is on ET at 11:59 pm on Wednesday.
Condon is at number 38 in ESPN’s latest draft estimates. The selection of the third-team all-so-soothturn conference shot 49.3 percent from the area and 32.8 percent (19 out of 58) from a distance of 3-point this season.
He contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and four theft to Florida’s 65-63 win against Houston in the final of the NCAA tournament on 7 April.
“This is a difficult task, winning the back-to-back,” said Kondon. “We are not taking it lightly. We need to come together as a team. … due to which we were so good in the last season, we had a habit of playing with each other for two years. We need to continue it. When people have your back, this makes this a great team.”
