Astro Place Stopped Zach Dezenzo (Hand) on 10-day IL

Houston Astros placed a stay outfielder Zach Desanzo in the 10-day injured list on Sunday due to swelling in his left hand.
In the same move, Astro selected the contract of top outfield Sambhavna Jacob Malton from Triple-A Chinese land. To make a place for malton on the 40-man roster, the right-handed Ronel Blanco was transferred from 15- to 60-day injured list. Blanco is going to do season-ending surgery on its right elbow this week.
The 25-year-old Desanzo left Houston’s 16–3 after leaving 1-for-2 with a run for Tampa Bay rays on Saturday. He is batting with two homes and 10 RBI in 34 matches this season. Dezenzo played in 19 matches in 2024, and hitting 53 matches for his career with four homes and 18 RBI .244.
The 24 -year -old Malton, the Astro Organization, has the number 2 likely in the MLB pipeline and the baseball is the number 1 by the US. Houston selected him out of Oregon State in the second round of 2022 MLB of drafts.
He started Sunday’s game at the center field and batted with eighth, going to 1-for-3 with another two strikes in his major league debut as Astro beat rays 1–0.
