Did Sky’s Cost Reformson make its speed beautiful in GT vs MI?

Sai Reformson revealed how he managed to maintain his speed despite a brief stagnation in playing during GT vs MI, Eliminator Tie

Gujarat Titans batter Sai Sudharsan revealed how Washington Sundar and himself kept their momentum going despite a brief pause in play during the Eliminator clash against MI. GT were knocked out from IPL 2025 after losing to Hardik Pandya and co. by 20 runs in the must-win encounter. Sudharsan and Sundar stitched together a 84-run partnership as they attempted to mount pressure on the MI bowlers.

How Sai Su-Sundar countered SKY

The incident occurred in the 13th over when the game was paused briefly as Suryakumar Yadav received treatment on the field. On being asked in the post-match press conference if that incident led to the duo losing momentum, Sudharsan said that both Sundar and himself were very well aware of that.

“I mean it can. It can definitely make a difference, but I feel we were aware of it. That was a good thing about me and Washy, we had a conversation about it and we were together. We were not waiting for the game to start. We were just looking at what all things we have to see. I think it was 12th or 13th over. So we were aware of it because we’ve seen certain occurrences before, so we were having that conversation and thinking about what we have to do rather than, you know, losing that momentum there,” Sudharsan explained.

What happened in GT vs MI, Eliminator?

MI survived Sai Sudharsan scare to beat Gujarat Titans by 20 runs. Chasing a massive 229-run target, GT faltered with Shubman Gill falling in the first over. But Sudharsan (80 off 49) kept their hopes alive with a 64-run stand with Kusal Mendis and then an 84-run stand with Washington Sundar. But after he fell, GT lost their way. Jasprit Bumrah bowled an excellent tidy spell of 1/27 to turn things around for MI.
