Domestic artists can breathe a sigh of relief. If they do well in domestic cricket, they will join the Test team. While this has been a traditional route for the India cricket team, the BCCI selection committee took a step back during the Virat Kohli-Rai Shastri Yuga or even Rohit Sharma-Rahul Dravidian era. Now, the BCCI said that all the players play domestic cricket, the artists have been rewarded with a spot in the India team for the England Test series. Karun Nair, Shardul Thakur and Abhimanyu Ezavaran are all back to the squad for the IN vs ENG Test series based on their performance in domestic cricket.

Karun Nair returns to the Test team after eight years, while Shardul Thakur has returned to exile after two years. Abhimanyu Ezavaran, who has scored tonnes, but can never be left in India despite receiving a Test call-up, as well as returned.

Abhimanyu Ishwan remembers

Despite making it for the test team, the sexual Ishwar could not break into the test line-up. He formed the team for the Seema-Gavaskar Trophy. Before the injury, before getting his domestic run derailed, Ishwaran scored 309 runs in five innings in the Dalip Trophy, scored 191 runs in the Iranian Cup and also scored the century in the only Ranji Trophy match for Bengal. Now, he has earned another call-up, and should get a chance not in the Test team with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli no longer in the Test team, or as a opener. While he will face a tough competition from Sai Reformson, Ajit Agrakar -led BCCI selection committee has not disappointed his domestic feats.
